Our Mission & Neutrality
The Swedish Consent Law Observatory (SCLO) is an independent public archive that collects and organizes information already published in the media, academia, and public debate.
SCLO does not take a political position for or against specific laws, legal actors, political parties, individuals, or institutions.
Our goal is to improve public access to information and enable informed discussion.
Not a Newsroom – We Do Not Produce Original Reporting
SCLO does not:
- Conduct investigative journalism;
- Add claims or allegations beyond the original source;
- Publish content that has not already been made public.
All summaries and titles aim to reflect the original publication faithfully, without re-framing its message.
Source Attribution & External Links
Every entry in the SCLO archive:
- Contains a direct link to the original publisher;
- Clearly identifies the source outlet;
- Includes a short factual summary for context.
SCLO does not host paywalled or copyrighted content.
We only provide metadata for items behind paywalls.
We recommend that visitors consult the original source for full context and interpretation.
Responsibility for Opinions and Content
Articles, broadcasts, and publications linked in the SCLO archive remain the responsibility of their respective authors and publishers.
Views expressed in external media:
- Do not necessarily represent SCLO;
- May include differing or conflicting interpretations;
- Are indexed solely because they contribute to the ongoing public conversation.
Accuracy & Corrections
SCLO strives for accuracy. However, content is aggregated from third-party sources, and mistakes can occur.
If you identify an error, you can contact us for review:
We commit to:
- Verifying any reported inaccuracies
- Updating entries transparently, with a revision note when relevant
Temporal Context
Legal interpretations evolve. Media reporting may reflect the context of the time of publication.
SCLO does not revise historical materials to reflect later developments – instead, we add new entries and context as debates progress.
Data Protection & Privacy
SCLO:
- Does not request personal data from users;
- Does not track individual visitors for profiling or commercial purposes;
- Complies with GDPR standards for minimal and transparent data processing.
We collect only basic analytics necessary to understand general site performance – never to identify individuals.
